the plan

2013 is a big year for the family. Lots of family gatherings planned and big events on the calendar. Finally, I have found the motivation to REALLY get myself in shape. Exercise is key in my plan. You would think that after the year I had in 2012, that I wouldn't have needed any further motivation to get healthy. The truth is, however, that I kinda sorta "let myself go" once I got out of the hospital. I had lost 32 pounds during the course of my illness and hospitalization - I do not recommend this to anyone! I had lost my appetite and with my physical decline lost quite a bit of muscle mass.

So there is good news and bad news now. I feel SO much better now in so many ways. That's the good news. Unfortunately, my appetite came back, too, and the bad news is that I gained all that weight back...sigh...

I have a plan, though. I recently read how Trisha Yearwood lost 30 pounds in 4 months with more mindful cooking and eating and exercise. I've got the exercise schedule all worked out  - I started it this week - - -
Monday - Biking
Tuesday - Yoga
Wednesday - Swimming
Thursday - Yoga
Friday - Biking 

Now I'm going back to a more plant based diet, too. The big question is whether or not I will be able to convince Mr. Beeson that this is in his best interest, too! My sweetheart has a sweet tooth! 

Wish me luck! It's Friday so I have to hop on my bike and get some exercise before it gets too hot out.

Why not try biking and yoga?

I love it Mom! You're doing great things for your mind and body! I can join you this week to partake in some of your exercising. Perhaps a swimming buddy? I'm proud of you!
